Hi! I’m Tim McDonald. I know what you’re thinking, THE Tim McDonald, starting strong safety of the 1995 Super Bowl champion San Francisco 49ers? Well no. I’m not that Tim McDonald. I’m Tim McDonald, the younger and far less athletic copywriter. I feel like I’ve already let you down.
I like to think I’m pretty funny (my mom tells me so). However, calling yourself funny is like trying to give yourself a nickname. Since my mom isn’t here to chime in, I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m a very serious person who happens to get laughed at a lot.
I’ve been toiling in customer service jobs for the past eighteen years. I’ve been a butcher, a barista, a bartender, and I’ve even been called a bitch by some unruly bar patrons. Believe it or not, that is not what I’m passionate about. My passion has always been creating, be it with writing, woodworking, or cooking. I’ve done acting, voice over stuff, stand-up, and some improv at Second City. It wasn’t until I discovered ad school that I realized I could make a career out of my creativity.
If you are looking for a unique perspective, I have one. If you are looking for a hard-hitting Pro Bowler for your secondary, I’m afraid you’re still hung up on the 49ers thing and I can’t help you.
